Nestled in a quiet residential area close to the Nerang River, Bay Lodge offers access to the energy and lifestyle of Surfers Paradise with its famous surf beaches, as well as family living in self-contained units.


Facilities

Bay Lodge features includes undercover security parking, a heated lap pool, half court tennis, barbecue facilities and an outdoor spa.

There are 2 two-bedroom Army Amenities Fund apartments at Bay Lodge. Each unit is fully furnished, with main bedrooms containing a queen-size bed and second bedrooms containing two singles. A foldaway bed may be hired to accommodate a fifth person in the apartment. The apartment also contains a laundry, balcony, ceiling fan and microwave.

Eligibility

Those eligible to stay in the Army units are as follows:
  • Army - Regular and Reserve
  • Navy - Regular and Reserve
  • RAAF - Regular and Reserve
  • Retired Defence Personnel
  • Defence Civilians
  • Family of the above (only when eligible member stays)
  • Defence Contractors, Staff of ADCU, Defcredit, DHA and Emergency Services
You will be required to verify your eligibility by providing your APS/Service/PMKeys number, rank and current unit (where applicable) during the booking process. This information will be checked on receipt of your deposit.

Tariffs and Seasons

Units will be let Saturday-to-Saturday. The following tariffs will apply:

High Season
1 Oct - 30 Apr 		$630 per week
Low Season
1 May - 30 Sep 		$475 per week

Please note: An additional charge of $70 per week will apply if you require the use of a foldaway bed to accommodate a fifth person. Please advise the resort when booking.

Ask for the availability of the "Army" units. Army members can book apartments nine months in advance of their stay; all other members can book six months in advance.

The AAF Company Board has directed that the lease of this property will not be renewed.  Therefore bookings will cease with effect 25 August 2009.


Payment

Defence members will be treated as any other guest with regard to deposit and payment of tariff.

A $100 deposit will be required to secure the booking, and the balance of the tariff must be paid on arrival at the resort. You will be required to pay the deposit within one week to hold your booking.

Length of Stay

To ensure a maximum number of members have the opportunity to use the resort, stays are restricted to one week in duration (Saturday to Saturday) unless specified. Members may elect to extend their stay, if within ten days an apartment has not been booked. Bookings for less than a week may only be made ten days in advance.
